The BG WIllaimsburg guys, do you remember Drachen Fire? It was only there a couple years but it was pretty sweet, albeit super rough. They closed down son of beast which was a wooden coaster with a loop. I havent yet but I need to it make there. If you like Wood like me you have to hit up King's Island and ride The Beast. Top Thrill goes 400 ft in the air and launches at 120 MPH but the ride is short and I dont consider it a coaster. 300 foot hill overlookiing lake erie and the 2nd longest roller coaster in North America equals awesomeness. Millenium force is the best stell coaster Ive ever been on, and the factt hat it has won numerous Golden Ticket awards backs up my claim. If you like Coasters you have to go to Cedar point. *Don't excpect every ride to be open during your trip.Dont waste your time on Hershey Park if you want coasters. Bring a small toy for the kids to play with while in line for the tickets. Be at the front gate early-its gets crowded fast. * Plan to spend most of the day here and an hour or so at Duke's Lagoon. * 2005 admission prices are $28.95 for a regular ticket, $23.95 for kids 3-6, and children under 2 are free. Here are some tips to get the most out of your trip. My favorite place is the Central PA Kosher Mart-it's got great fast food, smoothies, desserts and more for a low price. Vendors sell popcorn, drinks and snacks but for a meal eat at a restuarant. Food There are many places to eat in Dutch Wonderland. It has a great view of the park and gives you the chance to rest your feet. The most calmest ride is the Blue Cross Monorail. If you want a calm but exciting ride try the Dragon's Lair, Joust Coaster and Sky Ride. Rides If you've got big thrill ride kids, consider taking them on the Sky Princess Roller Coaster, Space Shuttle Simulator Ride and the Pipeline Plunge Water Slide. So, yes-the park is clean, safe, and filled with friendly people everywhere. If you go on their website the theme song is so cute. The rides look nice and well checked and of course cleaned. It is great for kids of any age but mostly younger kids (7 and under.) Park Dutch Wonderland is a very fun, safe, and clean park. I have been to Dutch Wonderland in Pennsylvania many times and we still enjoy going back. Only Disney vacations and M & M Mars candies for my family. I will never patronize anything to do with Hersehy again. Although they had no control over the weather, they offered no retribution or compensation (even when directly asked to) for any of the poor souls who traveled and planned their vacation around this event. Thanks to a record-breaking downpour courtesy of Mother Nature, the park canceled its Halloween Party night due to excessive flooding and mudslides (?) in the park. Gave Dutch Wonderland one last shot this Columbus Day Weekend with my second child for the evening Halloween party, and was again failed by the Hershey Company. After walking a great distance through thick summer crowds, we were forced to stand on a huge line for over 10 minutes to use one of the very few bathrooms in the park. Tried Hershey Park several years later and was EXTREMELY disappointed with Hershey's other dirty, overrated, poorly-themed, and awkwardly designed park. By the end of our day there, my beige pants were almost black from all the dirt picked up from outdoor benches and seats. It seems like no one ever set foot into the place all winter, as it was absolutely filthy. Came to Dutch Wonderland years ago with my first child on the 1st day it opened in the spring.
